EIT InnoEnergy Announced Three New Investors in its Brand

EIT InnoEnergy, a prominent innovation engine in the sustainable energy sector, recently announced the addition of three new investors to its shareholder base. The new investors include Austria-based OMV, which is transitioning into a sustainable chemical, fuels, and energy enterprise; Romanian integrated energy company OMV Petrom; and Netherlands-based investment firm ACB Participaties B.V. This expansion of EIT InnoEnergy's investor base follows a significant 2023 private placement round that raised over €140 million in fresh equity, further solidifying the company's substantial presence in Europe.

The funds from these new investors will be strategically used to enhance new deal flow, support the growth of EIT InnoEnergy's portfolio of 200 companies, and launch new industrial champions by leveraging opportunities from the Net Zero Industry Act (NZIA) framework. Additionally, the investments will accelerate EIT InnoEnergy's expansion efforts in the United States. The addition of these strategic partners demonstrates a collective trust in EIT InnoEnergy's ability to fast-track the sustainable energy transition and achieve Europe's reindustrialisation goals.
