The Swedish software development company, ClimateView, recently raised $2.5 million of funding from investors including Norrsken Foundation, Unity Technologies, and Nordic Makers — to name a few. This cutting-edge company creates visualization tools of greenhouse gas emissions and other sustainability data in an effort to prepare for cities for climate change mitigation.

Thus far, over 26 countries have declared a climate emergency, but many lack the resources to accurately predict and plan for the coming climate changes. The centralized tool will help governing bodies easily access data and speed up the decision-making process and plan decarbonization efforts.

As noted by founder and chief executive of ClimateView, Tomer Shalit, "Our solution-focused approach to climate action is already gaining traction in a number of cities across the globe and we hope that, with this investment, we can continue to lay the groundwork for decision making so that, together, the world’s cities and nations can forge a common path towards global carbon neutrality.”
