H&M is introducing the launch of Science Story, the debut collection in its Innovation Stories series. Designed to spotlight cutting-edge sustainable materials and celebrate the pioneers advancing eco-friendly practices, this collection uses various innovative materials designed to reduce environmental impact without compromising style. Among these is Desserto, a plant-based vegan leather derived from cactus plants.

The collection also features EVO by Fulgar, a bio-based yarn made from castor oil seeds. This material provides a renewable option for creating fabrics while maintaining durability and comfort. Another standout is ECONYL, a regenerated nylon sourced from ocean waste such as discarded fishing nets. By giving these materials a second life, H&M directly addresses marine pollution while promoting circularity in fashion.
