five:am, a yogurt brand based in Australia, is adopting new tubs and lids made from 90% responsibly sourced paperboard and a polyethylene (PE) plastic lining. This swap is expected to significantly reduce plastic waste sent to landfills. It solidifies the brand as the first to offer a paper tub for yogurt marketed to Australian consumers. five:am has also dedicated to providing organic ingredients, unique flavor options, and no added-sugar options for various dietary preferences.

“We are pioneering a movement to reduce plastic packaging by replacing it with more sustainable paper-based tubs. This is a monumental step forward for us and the industry,” he said. “Our all-natural organic products were already recognised as some of the best on the shelf at the recent DIAA Australian Dairy Product Competition, and now, with our new and more sustainable packaging, we’re raising the bar even higher," said Chris Elliot, CEO of five:am.
