Reclaimed Climbing Rope Furniture

The Kryss Entwined Objects series has been created by Svea Tisell as a series of furniture styles that are crafted out of an unlikely material to infuse a highly sustainable profile into the market. The various pieces in the collection are crafted out of reclaimed climbing rope that has been formed into self-supporting furniture styles that will shift according to how they are positioned or filled. The various pieces each utilize the Multiweave open-source method originally developed by Estonian textile artist Kadi Pajupuu.

The Kryss Entwined Objects series consists of a shelving system, lounge chair and side table, which are each crafted with the dynamic textile in the spotlight. This will see the pieces changing in size and shape according to the weight it's placed under.
