The CleanWalk walking stick works as a walking aid but is also suitable for picking up cans, plastic bottles or other waste that can be found polluting our natural environment -- especially items located within forests, parks and other remote areas. The waste, if it is large and firm enough, is picked up and left at a special collection point until those disposing of it locate a waste bin. The CleanWalk is also designed with a gauge at the end of each cane, indicating how much waste one has collected.
CleanWalk was designed to encourage natural reserves and parks to distribute walking sticks to hikers. The walking sticks are not only sustainable but double as waste disposal sticks, helping to make walks more pleasant and the planet cleaner.
