Dog Chew Recycling Programs

Benebone has launched a new recycling initiative in collaboration with TerraCycle. The Benebone Free Recycling Program offers pet owners a convenient way to dispose of their used Benebone dog chew toys in an environmentally friendly manner.

Participation is simple—pet owners can sign up through TerraCycle, receive a prepaid shipping label, and mail their well-loved Benebone chews at no cost. Once collected, the chews undergo a specialized recycling process, cleaning, sorting, and breaking down into reusable materials.

Beyond promoting sustainability, the program also supports charitable giving. For each shipment of dog chews sent to TerraCycle, participants earn points that can be donated to a nonprofit or charitable organization of their choice.

“We love to spoil our pets, but pet toys are one of the forgotten waste streams that are overlooked because they are so commonplace in our lives as pet parents,” said Tom Szaky, chief executive officer of TerraCycle. “By participating in this recycling program, consumers have the opportunity to provide their dogs with quality toys to enjoy while preserving our environment for future generations to come.”
