Studio Swine is Promoting Water Conservation Through Art
Kalin Ned — January 14, 2019In conjunction with the 'Surface Tension' exhibit, Studio Swine (Super Wide Interdisciplinary New Explorers) will be promoting water conservation through art in an informed discussion in Toronto. Founder Alexander Groves and Azusa Murakami will be looking into the creative collective's work with water and infrastructure.
As water scarcity, as well as other ecological and human factors, are a source of anxiety in today's ever-developing society, it is extremely important to engage in uncomfortable conversations about ethics and sustainability. Studio Swine holds that promoting water conservation, among other resource necessities, is efficiently done through the lens of art. In the discussion event at Toronto's Harbourfront Centre on January 25th, the founders of the collective will explain how the public can be and is engaged through art.
