NUVI promotes sustainable innovation through the development of NUVImaterials—customizable, bio-based textiles produced roll-to-roll in Germany using regionally sourced plants and minerals. Founded by Nina Rössler and Christophe Cappon, the German company specializes in creating scalable, plastic-free coated textiles that are fully derived from natural resources.

Unlike conventional materials, NUVImaterials emphasize the preservation of natural characteristics such as color, texture, scent, and touch. By minimizing processing, NUVI ensures that the intrinsic properties of the raw materials remain central to the final product. This approach not only supports environmental responsibility but also offers designers a unique sensory and aesthetic palette.

The materials have broad cross-industry applications, including fashion, interior design, and automotive manufacturing. NUVI’s first-generation material, developed from teak leaves, was originally applied to products such as yoga straps, lamps, and fashion accessories—demonstrating both functional and visual versatility.
