Plantable Red Packet Designs
Purple and Pure's Innovative Red Packets Can Be Planted
Kanesa D — January 14, 2025Red packet printing firms are transforming a traditional symbol of celebration into a beacon of sustainability by shifting from single-use designs to multifunctional and eco-friendly innovations. One example is Purple and Pure, a corporate gift supplier that has reimagined red packets as plantable treasures. Crafted from biodegradable seed paper, these packets hold monetary gifts and the potential to grow plants. The textured paper is handmade from recycled cotton, offering a distinct tactile experience that differentiates it from conventional red packets.
“Normal, traditional ang baos are made with a paper that is coated or laminated and cannot be recycled. Our paper is 100 per cent recycled, and because of the seed embedded, you can plant it into different flowers, herbs or vegetables,” said founder Ankita Jain.
