Mondelēz International and Amcor Partnered for Packaging
Michael Hemsworth — November 7, 2024Mondelēz International and Amcor have announced a new partnership for Cadbury core sharing bar packaging manufactured in Bournville and Coolock and retailed in the UK and Ireland. The packaging will feature 80% certified recycled plastic sourced through advanced recycling techniques to give the products a more sustainable profile for shoppers. The packaging initiative with Amcor will start in 2025 in a phased rollout that will cover roughly 300-million sharing bars across Cadbury's core tablet range in the UK and Ireland.
Global Key Account Manager at Amcor Kyra Chavalés spoke on the Mondelēz International and Amcor partnership saying, "Mondelēz International’s implementation of the AmFiniti solution is a major step towards further advancing recycled plastic packaging across the global confectionary market. Amcor continues to work alongside our partners—such as Mondelēz—to enable brands to meet rising consumer demand for more responsible packaging, advance sustainability goals, and comply with upcoming EU regulations.”
