The Conceptual 'Loop Pencil' Extends Stationery Lifespan
Michael Hemsworth — November 25, 2021The conceptual 'Loop Pencil' is a modular take on the classic writing utensil that would provide students and professionals alike to keep their stationery functional for long to reduce unnecessary waste.
The pencil consists of three parts that each serve a distinct purpose, which includes the pencil itself, the clip and the eraser portion. The pencil would work by being used just like a conventional writing utensil, but can be linked with additional pencils, an eraser or clip to extend it and thus keep it functional beyond that of a regular pencil.
The conceptual 'Loop Pencil' is the design work of Ye Feng, Yu Zhenfa, Lin Weifeng, Tian Zhen and Zhu Hengchang, and identifies what can be done to make stationery more sustainable.
