Erez Nevi Pana Designed an Installation Called 'Tropical Milan'
Riley von Niessen — October 7, 2020Erez Nevi Pana, a vegan designer that's dedicated to a cruelty-free and sustainable vision, created a series of small shelters that are made from banana plants.
The shelters are featured in a film that's written and directed by the designer, which imagines human life in a new environment, where climate change has impacted the ecosystem to such an extent that people can no longer survive without protection. The apocalyptic world that's portrayed in the film features a faceless man, who is situated in a dense forest that's surrounded by banana plants—one of the few materials that are available to him.
The film, cocoons and other sustainable furniture pieces all make up the designer's 'Tropical Milan' installation, which speaks to the impact climate change can pose if action is not taken.
