Energy-Efficient Neighborhood Projects
KEPLER is Set to Begin Work on STELLAR H. in December
Kalin Ned — October 24, 2024Belgian construction company KEPLER is set to begin work on STELLAR H., Europe's most energy-efficient neighborhood, in December 2024. Located in Houthalen, this development aims to drastically reduce energy consumption through a combination of advanced construction techniques and renewable energy solutions. The homes will have an impressive energy score of -15, achieved through timber-frame construction, solar panel installations, and a shared battery park that stores excess energy. As a result, residents' monthly energy bills are expected to be reduced to around €20 per family.
The energy-efficient neighborhood project will feature 16 homes equipped with premium appliances from brands such as Miele and Daikin, and each property will be fully finished with landscaped gardens. The thoughtful design, combined with KEPLER's integrated construction process, allows these homes to be built at a competitive price of €285,000, making sustainable living more accessible to a broader market.
