Lightweight Rooftop Solar Panels
DMEGC Released Two Efficient Lightweight TOPCon Panels
Colin Smith — December 23, 2024DMEGC, a Chinese industrial group specializing in PV modules, has introduced new lightweight bifacial TOPCon solar panels designed for residential rooftop projects. These panels feature a double-glass design and TOPCon cell technology, offering power outputs between 250 W and 270 W. The lightweight panels weigh only 15.3 kg, making them easier to install, especially on existing roof pitches in single-family homes. They also boast efficiencies between 21.6% and 22.9%, with a compact and easy-to-install design that optimizes roof space utilization.
The new DMxxxM10T-B32HBT double glass module measures 1,542 mm x 766 mm x 30 mm and includes 64 monocrystalline cells. The panels are designed to withstand a range of operating ambient temperatures from -40°C to 85°C and feature a maximum system voltage of 1,500 V. With a double glass thickness of 2.0 mm and junction boxes rated IP 68 for water and dust resistance, these panels are built to last. DMEGC offers a 15-year product warranty and a 30-year power output warranty, ensuring long-term reliability and performance.
DMEGC's innovative design with optimized frame geometry ensures exceptional durability and stability, with load ratings of up to 8,100 Pa pressure load and -4,000 Pa suction load. The lighter and more compact design simplifies the installation process, making it more manageable for installers working on challenging roof pitches. By providing high-efficiency, durable, and easy-to-install solar panels, DMEGC aims to support the adoption of sustainable energy solutions in residential settings.
