These Coffee Lids Make Use Of Biodegradable Avocado Pits

Colombian coffee brand Buencafe has unveiled a prototype coffee jar lid that is crafted from the biodegradable material that is avocado pits.
What's great about these coffee jar lids is the fact that they happen to be made from a biologically based resin that contains 60 percent organic biomass, ad is processed by way of a proprietary formula mastered by Biofase.
A single dried avocado pit can be utilized to make up to three coffee jar lids. What's more, the material is capable of decomposing in just over two years, which is a tiny percentage of the half a millennium that is required for a typical plastic lid to achieve decomposition.
Currently being observed in a pilot stage, the ultimate goal is to try to take these avocado pit-based coffee jar lids to market given the growing importance of infusing sustainability into different elements of coffee production.
