Carbon Dioxide-Capturing Fabrics
Malwee Group and Xinterra Debut the Ar.voree T-Shirt
Kalin Ned — October 27, 2024The Malwee Group, in collaboration with Singapore-based start-up Xinterra, has introduced an innovative carbon dioxide-capturing fabric. Named the Ar.voree T-shirt, the material is capable of neutralizing CO₂ emissions and is said to absorb approximately 12.6 grams of carbon dioxide from the air daily. The tee releases its stored CO₂ during washing. It converts it to harmless sodium bicarbonate.
This groundbreaking technology enables each Ar.voree T-shirt to absorb as much CO₂ in one day as a mature tree would. This fabric refreshes its CO₂ capture ability after each wash, making it a continuously effective tool in reducing atmospheric CO₂. For eco-conscious consumers, the Ar.voree T-shirt offers a unique opportunity to actively participate in climate action through everyday clothing choices. The product also reinforces the Malwee Group's commitment to the planet and environmental responsibility.
