The MyProGeneration vending machine is a product put together by high schoolers in Italy that converts waste into recycled smartphone cases. The eco-friendly device is able to grind up plastic garbage utilize 3D-printing to turn the waste into a new material to construct cellular cases. The design offers an innovative and timely way product waste can be converted into new tech accessories.
The vending machine is specially designed to include a 3D printer inside that is able to transform the melted plastic into new cases. Users can visit the machine and dispense unwanted items such as bottles and packaging and select a case design they'd like in exchange. The MyProGeneration repurposes, melts and 3D prints the case within minutes.
Turning unwanted products into a monetary currency allows consumers to properly dispose of the waste in a way that it can be recycled back into the economy.
