New England Coffee Co. Implements the PurPod100 Capsule
Kanesa D — December 12, 2024Reily Foods-owned brand New England Coffee Co. is revamping its products to be more environmentally conscious by replacing its plastic coffee capsules with compostable alternatives. The company has partnered with PurPod to introduce the PurPod100 capsule, which features a bio-based mesh filter and is fully compostable without disassembly.
Designed for use with Keurig K-Cup-style brewers, the PurPod100 capsule offers a more environmentally friendly option without sacrificing taste or performance. Made from three bio-based materials, including a cellulose film lid and a unique PLA-based mesh filter sourced from plants, these pods are robust and rooted in green principles.
Interested consumers can find the New England Coffee Co. PurPod100 capsules at participating grocery chains, including Harris Teeter, Kroger, Lowe’s, Market Basket, Target, Tops, Wakefern, Walmart, Winn-Dixie, and more.
