MTN Nigeria Launches a New Line of Eco-Friendly Sim Cards
Kanesa D — November 14, 2024MTN Nigeria Communications Plc is excited to announce the launch and pilot phase of its innovative paper-based biodegradable SIM cards. Compared to traditional Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) plastic-based SIM cards, these new paper-based SIMs offer a more sustainable alternative. Paper-based SIM cards can also be easily recycled, ensuring a smaller carbon footprint throughout their lifecycle.
This launch is aligned with the company's Project Zero initiative, which is committed to reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and achieving net-zero emissions by 2040.
