Reusable Technical Packaging Solutions

Freudenberg Performance Materials showcased its sustainable innovations at Fachpack 2024, held in Nuremberg, Germany, from September 24-26. Among the highlighted products was Evolon® microfilament textiles, which offered reusable technical packaging for sensitive industrial parts. These textiles are notable for their durability and high recycled PET content, providing an eco-friendly alternative to single-use packaging. By reducing damage during transport and lowering rejection rates, Evolon® enhanced operational efficiency and contributed to resource conservation.

Another innovative product Freudenberg presented was Evolon® The Food Bag, designed for food preservation at home. This packaging solution extends the shelf life of vegetables, fruits, and bread by offering excellent moisture and climate management. Evolon® The Food Bag was a finalist in the 2020 Zu gut für die Tonne! prize, recognizing its contribution to reducing food waste. The company's commitment to sustainability was further demonstrated by its bio-based nonwoven materials for desiccant bags, which are binder-free and industrially compostable.
