Innovation is bringing us new hope

FAERCH is releasing a new line of ready-meal trays for UK consumers interested in switching to sustainable materials. Comprised of 40% tray rPET, these new CPET trays will increase the industry's circular and post-consumer content while streamlining waste collection through kerbside services. Notably, FAERCH's carbon footprint studies confirmed that its rPET had a 57% lower carbon footprint than virgin PET and 35% compared to clear bottle rPET.

“Faerch has always pushed the boundaries, and now we are taking it a step further by guaranteeing a minimum of 40% tray rPET in our chilled ready meal trays, taking another step toward true circularity,” Lars Gade Hansen added. “Just like bottles must be transformed into new bottles, trays must be recycled into new trays without ‘stealing’ and downgrading material from other waste streams.”
