Catan Studio is bringing the strategic gameplay experience that fans know and love into a new century with a focus on sustainability with an all-new version of the game called Catan - New Energies. Touted as a game that blends strategy, sustainability and societal progress, the game challenges players to navigate modern-day challenges. Players will have to choose between investing in clean and environmentally friendly sources of energy or the cheaper fossil fuels, and accept the consequences of their actions. This conversation-starting board game invites players to reflect on their choices beyond the game, and as Catan Studio states, "true to real life, the 'greenest' player does not always have to win." The English edition of Catan - New Energies will be plastic-free, and printed and assembled in the United States with sustainable wood and paper.
