Air Pollution-Monitoring Apps

The Breezometer App Can Now Detect Air Pollution Form Wildfires

The Breezometer app has been updated to also serve as a warning system for wildfires, in addition to its original air pollution detection abilities. The alerts for wildfires operate using information from NASA as well as more localized sources. The information is then combined with the app's algorithms, in order to determine if the user is in danger from air pollution due to traveling smoke. With updates to the Breezometer app, users will be notified if they are withing anywhere from 20-60 miles away from a fire.

The app is also able to get readings on other aspects that can affect air quality, including ozone, as well as particulate materials and pollen. The app is available on Android as well as iOS devices, and also through a Live app.
