Transformable Sustainable Apparel

CAALO Is Manufactured Ethically and Sustainably

New York-based designer Chelsea Claridge introduces CAALO, a brand offering non-gender-specific garments that can be transformed to provide multiple looks and aesthetics from a single piece. CAALO partners with environmentally and socially responsible factories and utilizes recycled fabrics from Italy, Japan, and Korea, all of which are OEKO-TEX Class 1 certified. Additionally, the Down used is RDS certified, ensuring ethical sourcing.

Chelsea Claridge, creative director at CAALO, emphasizes that sustainability encompasses more than just using recycled fabrics and local production. "We are about the purpose and meaningfulness behind clothes," she says. CAALO's designs can be worn in five different ways across multiple seasons, providing endless possibilities for personal styling and functionality. The brand focuses on high-quality construction, aiming for pieces that can be passed down through generations rather than ending up in landfills.

Claridge's vision promotes the concept of buying less but buying better, striving to create timeless pieces that customers will turn to time and time again. This approach not only supports sustainable fashion practices but also ensures that each garment serves a meaningful and lasting purpose in the wearer’s wardrobe.
