TikTok is Apart of a Sustainable Initiative by Ad Net Zero

Ad Net Zero, an initiative by the UK’s Advertising Association, is advancing sustainability in advertising by promoting eco-friendly products, services, and behaviors. In a new collaboration, TikTok, giffgaff, and MG OMD have partnered with Ad Net Zero to launch a fully sustainable advertising campaign.

The initiative goes beyond Action 5 of Ad Net Zero’s Action Plan by focusing on key sustainability goals. It tracks carbon emissions across the value chain to establish benchmarks for future campaigns. Sustainable production practices are prioritized, including filming with refurbished devices to minimize electronic waste.

The campaign also collaborates with eco-conscious creators, ensuring authentic, sustainability-driven storytelling. Energy-efficient media planning optimizes ad delivery while reducing energy consumption. Additionally, the campaign will serve as a blueprint for the industry, with a case study outlining best practices for sustainable advertising.
